Privacy Policy (UK)

Last updated: 28 July 2026 (draft).

This page is a working draft. It is implementation-ready drafting guidance, not legal advice, and has not yet been reviewed by qualified UK legal counsel or approved for final publication. Sections marked [pending confirmation] require information or legal advice not yet obtained. Do not treat this page as complete or final.

Who we are

This website and our UK-facing services are operated by Solicitude Holding Pty Ltd (ABN 69 617 272 358), an Australian company trading as Virtual Team ("Virtual Team", "we", "us", "our"). We do not currently have a registered UK company, branch or establishment.

UK data protection law and this policy

If you are located in the UK, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 are likely relevant to how your personal information is handled, in addition to Australian privacy law. [Whether Virtual Team is required to appoint a UK Article 27 representative, and the specific UK-GDPR lawful basis relied on for each processing activity — pending legal advice. This section will be completed once that advice is obtained.]

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect: your name and contact details; company and role information; and the content of enquiries and messages you send us. [Whether candidate CVs, identity documents or client-system data are collected — pending confirmation.]

Cookies and analytics

This website does not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. We plan to use Google Analytics in future to understand how the site is used — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used. A cookie consent banner will ask for your choice before any analytics cookie is set.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to respond to your enquiry, understand your workforce requirements, provide and administer our services, maintain the security of our systems, comply with our legal obligations, and — only where you have separately and clearly consented — send you marketing communications.

Overseas access and disclosure

Virtual Team's delivery operations are based in Gurugram, India, and its head office functions are managed from Australia. Personnel based in India and Australia may access information collected through this website and our services as part of their role. If you are in the UK, this means your personal information will be transferred outside the UK. [The specific UK-GDPR international transfer mechanism relied on (e.g. the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy finding) — pending legal advice.]

Disclosure and service providers

This website is hosted on Vercel. We plan to use Google Analytics in future. [Complete list of CRM, email marketing, recruitment and support service providers — pending confirmation.]

Storage and security

We take reasonable technical and administrative steps to protect the information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to data portability. Contact us using the details below to make a request. [Confirmation of which specific UK GDPR rights apply and the process for exercising them — pending legal advice.]

Marketing choices

We only send marketing communications to people who have separately and clearly opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Sensitive information

Please do not send passwords, payment card details, identity documents, health information or other sensitive or confidential information through ordinary email or our general enquiry form. Contact us to arrange an approved secure method if needed.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, contact us at enquiry@virtualteam.au. UK residents may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). [Expected internal response timeframe — pending confirmation.]

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
